But honest, I started the process before I ever say your car. Mine has a small block Ford engine with a C-4 trans and eight inch rear. Comments: I have a stock '34 Chevy pickup, 1/2 ton, and the stock runnng gear runs really good. Was wondering if anyone has any information on how to lower the stock suspension, and do they make a reproduction fiberglass or full metal doors? I thought I would run the stock running gear while I do some work on fixing the doors and saving up the parts to street rod. Having a hard time finding any info on the doors or ideas of lowering stock suspension. I FOUND A PIC OF A LITTLE BLUE '34 CHEVY PICKUP ON YOUR SITE IN A CAR SHOW. WAS WONDERING IF THEIR WAS ANY WAY TO HOOKUP WITH THE OWNER-BUILDER OF THIS TRUCK, AS HE MAY BE ABLE TO HELP ME WITH INFO ON THE DOORS AND OTHER PARTS? Thanks, Mark

Comments: I really liked the picture evolution of your 31. We must be about the same age (born 6/25/50)and have the same tast in cars (your Model A coupe anyway). I can't say I've had a Model A coupe since I was 16, but I can say I've wanted one since I was 8 years old. I've bought 3 in the past 20+ years, the latest is a stock 31 Deluxe Coupe. My future plans are to run full fenders with a SBC and a 4 spd. I bought the car in August of this year from a old widow in Gainsville Florida. Her husband had a barn full of 30-31 bodies (8)and bookoos of used parts. The barn full went for 6k, I only had the $3500.00 to buy the coupe the old man drove only in parades. It had set under plastic outside for to long after he passed away. The running boards are the only parts that was rusted. I hope I can keep this one for years to come and keep a photo history of it like you did with yours. Thanks for putting it on the web. Best Regards Larry

Comments: THANKS FOR THE SITE! And I hate to say this, but there is a chevy 2 door sedan in the Ark. City pages and again in the nifty fifties pages on page three that is in a somewhat turquoise primer with a vanilla top. I built it and it was mine until I sold it in 1998. I really appreciate the photos. But it is a 51 and not a 49. I lived in Kansas at the time and drove it to 4 Americruises 1993 Springfield, 1995 & 1996 Lincoln and Snow Mass in 1998. I hear it's still cruising the streets between Topeka and Burlington. I on the other hand moved out to Washington last summer where I am now in the process of building a 52 Chevy Roadster pickup.
